The Y Family | Scarborough Maine Family Photographer

I work with a lot of families who visit from out of state, and I especially love when they are visiting Maine for the very first time. This was the case for Kelly, John, and 5-year-old Trenton, who visited the midcoast and southern Maine a few weeks ago from Michigan. When I talked to Kelly on the phone before our session and asked what she was most hoping to capture, she said she wanted photos that felt carefree, and fun, which was an extremely easy task with this crew. I think Trenton may actually be a Mainer deep down, as he was totally in love with the beach, and Kelly and John had no problem at all climbing on the rocks and hopping in the water right along with him. I love when families can totally let their guard down and just be together while I do the hard part, and these guys were able to do just that – making for some really gorgeous and candid moments from their hazy evening in Scarborough. Here are my many favorites of this beautiful family that I so hope returns to Maine again very soon.
