The WF Family | Scarborough Maine Family Photographer

It’s time for another 10th session love fest here on the blog today!!  I cannot even believe it was TEN years ago when I first photographed the extended WF Family, and each November since, I have looked forward to catching up with this crew and having them in front of my cameras. It all started way back at the beginning, when I was still relatively new behind the lens, and Amy, Thad, and little Turner were getting ready to welcome baby Annie to to the world. We met at Wolfe’s Neck Woods along with Auntie Liz for that first session, and over the years our sessions have grown to include a now very grown up Turner and Annie, along with Amy and Thad, Auntie Liz, Grammy Lori and Papa George. We’ve taken photos at three different homes, in the woods, at parks, at a Christmas tree farm, and on the beach, and capturing this close-knit crew over the years is an honor I can’t fully put into words. I’ve watched Turner and Annie go from beautiful babies to beautiful, strong, funny, and smart children, and have had the honor of watching the adults in their lives grow together around them as well. Together we have formed a trust and a bond that I only dreamed of creating when I first started this business. I have so much love for this family and am so grateful that they have allowed me to capture their beautiful family for ten years now.

For their big 10 session, we headed just 30 seconds down the road from their home, to Kane Kountry Farm, a place that has become near and dear to the hearts of this crew during the pandemic. In looking to find an outdoor activity for Annie, they asked for a horse riding lesson, which quickly turned into a new passion for Annie, who has spent her days learning Hunter-Jump Seat, and even competing in her first show. The owners of the farm were so gracious to let us use the property for this year’s session, and I loved to capture this crew in a new special place, and also meet and photograph the horses too.

To Amy, Thad, Turner, Annie, Liz, Lori, and George – from the bottom of my heart, thank you for 10 years of love and memories.  I can only hope I’ll have the honor of photographing you all for another ten. Thank you for allowing me a peek into your beautiful life together. ❤️ Here are my favorites from this year’s fun session!
