The W Family | Cape Elizabeth Maine Family Photographer

If you ever have to spend 45 minutes or so on the coast of Maine with the wind whipping in your face, and temperatures feeling wellllll below the average, I hope you get to do it with the extended “W” Family. This was the case two weeks ago, when I met this awesome crew at Portland Head Light. The sun was shining, but winds of 20+ mph made for cold cold hands and faces, and lots of crazy hair. These guys did not complain once and embraced the weather and their time together with positive attitudes and smiles on their faces. Every 10 years, Nancy and Bill coordinate a family photo session to celebrate their anniversary, with this being anniversary #40 (amazing!!). Maine is a special place for this pair who live in Vermont, and they celebrated this decade together with a weekend in the Portland area with their son, daughter, and their respective significant others. This year’s photos were especially sentimental for this group, and I am so grateful that they asked me to capture them together in one of their favorite places, celebrating this really special anniversary for two amazing people. Our time may have been cold, but this family is about as warm as they come, and I loved our windy and snuggly session. Here are my favorites of this beautiful family.
