When I think back on the summer of 2020, there are a lot of things I will remember. But one of the things I hope I remember is how unbelievably gorgeous the month of August was. The sunsets this month were out of this world, and I had the most amazing families to capture in front of them. A few weeks ago I met up with Kerry, Norman, and seven-year-old Sarah on the shores of Goose Rocks. I’ve had some amazing weather at Goose Rocks over the years, but this night – this night was just simply magical. From the very beginning we had cotton candy skies mixed with a golden sunset. Couple that with Sarah’s huge never-ending smile and zest for life and love of her parents, and our night was pretty darn perfect. We danced on the shore, chased Sarah around, sang songs from Hamilton, and soaked up the beauty of this stunning August evening and this beautiful and sweet family. It’s been a long time coming for a session with this crew, and I am so happy I finally had the chance to meet them and photograph a peek in time on their annual trip to their happy place.
