The R Family | Belgrade Lakes Maine Family Photographer

A few years ago, I first met the extended “R” Family during their annual family vacation at Belgrade Lakes. I was so excited when they reached out again this year for another session, and I headed north to the lakes a few weeks ago. Like many things in this late-pandemic world, this trip was a bit of a whirlwind for this crew, who lost their original lodging due to damage from the microburst that hit the area in late June, and who also were missing an entire section of their crew due to travel restrictions from overseas. The day of our session was stormy, but the evening looked to be dry, so we decided to go for it. As I turned the final corner headed into town, the skies opened up, and I knew we were in for an adventure with the weather on this particular evening. We dodged rain that came and went, changing light, and lots of clouds, making for a more moody edit on these images. Lucky for me though, the damp weather did not dull the smiles of this crew, and even though the clouds were dark, their faces and attitudes were bright, and we were able to get lots of sweet and adorable images of the families and grandparents Carol and Charlie with their grandbabies. Many thanks to this group for rolling with it and for asking me to capture them once again during their special time together in Maine.
