The H-D Family {At Home} | Saco Maine Family Photographer

It’s crazy to think that we are wrapping up 2022 already, and with just two more sessions to share this year, I’m excited to start pouring over the thousands of images I’ve created this year and pick my favorites. Before I get ahead of myself though, I get to share today’s session with the H-D Family from Sunday afternoon. This was my fourth year with this family, who I have the extreme pleasure of seeing each November or December. We do their sessions at home – an old farm house that Jenny and Ryan have beautifully renovated (I actually first met them while photographing their home for their designer Sarah Steinberg). This year we planned to do most of the photos outdoors, and while big brother Abe was all about playing on the swingset and exploring, little brother Luke was feeling indoorsy that day, so we took just a few outside, and then headed indoors to enjoy all of the boys’ favorite spaces. Besides the incredible cuteness of this family (seriously – those curls! Those baby blues!), what I really love about them is how laid-back and go-with-the-flow Jenny and Ryan are as parents. Our sessions often become more lifestyle than portrait, which I always prefer, and as a result we have collections of images of the boys growing while playing, reading, being silly, and just being who they are while at home. It’s a true honor to document their life year after year and I’m so excited to share my favorites from this year’s playful time together.
