The G Family | Yarmouth Maine Family Photographer

After last year’s stunning session at Reid State Park with the “G” Family, I worried that I would never be able to top that evening. I don’t like to be wrong, but I’m pretty stoked that I was wrong on this one, because the night I had with this crew a few weeks ago may just live in infamy. As per the usual in this 2021 season, we were stressing about avoiding the rain for this session, but decided to go for it. We had originally planned to do the full session at Fels Grove here in Yarmouth – a favorite spot for field sessions, with it’s tall grass and mowed paths. When we arrived at the field, the sun had dipped behind some not-so-exciting clouds, so we decided to do a handful there, and then head to Sandy Point Beach down the road hoping to capture a few beach pictures despite the tide rolling in. I wasn’t expecting much by the way of light at the beach, but when we arrived, we all were in awe of the absolutely insane light – soft pink and purples with just the slightest amount of haze, making for an absolutely dreamy evening on Cousins Island.

This was my fourth year with Jess, Tim, Kallie, Abby, and Sara, but it feels like I have known them forever. This year’s session was especially playful, loving, and fun, and made extra fun by Kallie and Abby’s gorgeous twirl dresses. I have all the love for this incredibly sweet and fun family, and am beyond thrilled that I was able to capture them on yet another stunning evening this year.  Here are my many, many favorites from our gorgeous night here in town.
