The C Family | Port Clyde Maine Family Photographer

When I first met Elizabeth, Chris, and Millie a few summers ago at Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde, Elizabeth talked about wanting to do an extended family session with her mom, dad, sister, and sister’s husband as well. We had hoped to do the session last summer, but Covid restrictions kept everyone at home, so I was so excited when Elizabeth reached out to say that they would all be gathering once again this year. The family owns a cottage less than a mile from the lighthouse, and I loved learning about how the property had been in the family for generations, with Elizabeth’s mom spending her childhood summers here as well. The cottage sits tucked in the woods, and just steps from the rocky shoreline looking out at the islands of the midcoast. We spent our time on the rocks, and I was overwhelmed by the 365 degree circle of beauty around us. This spot felt so quintessential coastal Maine, and I can see why it is such a special place for this entire crew. We had such a fun evening taking photos of all the combinations of people while being entertained by Millie and her fun giggles, love of exploring, and serious charm. I had such a wonderful night with this crew who made the trip to Port Clyde so worth it, and I hope they love their photos of our gorgeous night as much as I do. Here are my favorites!
