Love what you see?
I am so excited about today’s blog post – one I have been looking forward to sharing for months now. And on a stormy night in late December my heart is not only warmed by these images of a golden summer evening on the coast of Maine, but the family in the photos as well. Way back in August, I photographed my good friends Ashley and Nik with almost three year old, Ryan at Two Lights State Park – a favorite place of theirs in Cape Elizabeth. The entire photo shoot was a surprise for their families so they asked if I could keep it under wraps until after the holidays. Little did I know that this would be one of my most favorite family sessions ever, and waiting to share it would be so hard to do! Everything about this evening session came together so perfectly – from the perfect golden glow of the setting sun, to the blue skies, to Ryan’s goofy and fun personality, to Ashley’s awesome green pants, and even to Ryan plopping his bum into a muddy tidepool in his white shorts (don’t miss the reaction shot below!). I love the candid playful feel of these photos, and am excited about how well they represent this family that I have been so lucky to get to know over the past few years.
