The A-B Family {Wolfe’s Neck Woods} | Freeport Maine Family Photographer

Almost seven years ago, I photographed Bridget and Matt at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park in Freeport. Bridget is a former rugby teammate of mine, and she and Matt traveled to Maine from Connecticut so I could take their photos. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, and they returned to the same spot, this time for their first official family session with their little guy, 2.5 year old Fox. In college, Bridget was always so fun to be around – super sweet, and expressive too – a theater person at heart. When I met Matt during their engagement photos, I knew she had found her perfect match, as the two fed off of each other’s lines from movies and had the same silly and fun energey. So it was no surprise at all to see that she and Matt have become absolutely incredible parents to little Fox – playful, patient, and with an obvious sense of calm and comfort in their lives together and their roles as parents. Little Fox will snag your heart from the moment you meet him – with bright eyes, adorable curls, and just the sweetest little voice. He was a little shy at first, but we became fast friends as we explored the paths of Wolfe’s Neck, and eventually made our way to the beach and water. There is something really special about photographing friends from my earlier days, and seeing Bridget with her beautiful family was such a gift on this November afternoon. Here are my favorites from our playful and adventurous session during their Maine getaway. ❤️
