The 366 Project {2020} | September – Maine Family and Lifestyle Photographer

For such a crazy, weird, difficult year, it sure is flying by (to which I smile, and gently wave, haha!). Another month is in the books, and it’s hard to believe there are only three months left in 2020. September started out on a very sad and challenging note for my family, but we were able to find beautiful moments in between, as we also spent September celebrating our daughter’s 10th birthday (with an epic “glamping” trip at Sandy Pines Campground in Kennebunkport), and looking forward to school and a bit of routine. It’s funny, as I was pulling together this month’s collection, I noticed that I captured the shape of hearts found in nature throughout the month – clear evidence that the month was spent looking for love in unexpected places as we navigated grief and an ever-changing routine. As the month went on, we settled into hybrid learning, began our process to hunker down for the winter, and took time to love on and appreciate one another – something I think everyone should focus a bit more on as we head into a challenging election and cold and flu season. Every month seems to bring more ups and downs in this crazy year, but I am hopeful October gives everyone a little respite, and hopefully a sense of calm and routine – or at least a month that ends in chocolate – lots, and lots of chocolate (don’t let us down, Halloween!). ????

There are 30 days in September. These are our 30 days of September, 2020.
