The 365 Project {May} – Maine Children and Lifestyle Photographer

Every month when I post my recap for this project, I make a comment about how fast the month went by. But for some reason, May seemed to go at a snail’s pace. I kind of tilt my head at the irony of the month feeling slow as we begin to return to normal – with some days this month having me spinning in complete circles, feeling overwhelmed by sports schedules and hang out requests. If I really think about it though, I think of a moving ship that has been steadily sailing in one direction for the past fifteen months and is now reversing course. May is like reverse mode – making the passage of time feel slow before it takes off in a straight direction once again. This month brought softball games, blooming flowers, the return to four school days a week, and sadly, the sudden loss of our cat Naboo just last week. It was a month full of high highs and low lows and an overwhelming feeling of anticipation as we head into the warmer months of summer with hopefully high vaccination numbers and low virus ones.

There are 31 days in May. These are our 31 days of May, 2021.
