The 365 Project {2022}, April & May | Maine Family and Lifestyle Photographer

When I kicked off this project again this year, after a just insane 2021, I promised myself that I would keep up, and post every month. But as life goes, life happened, and I decided that grace is more important than stress. And so, when we arrived home from our Disney vacation at the end of April with a nasty dose of Covid, I decided to hold off, and share April and May together (besides, who wants to end a blog post on THAT note?!).

The spring kickoff has been a little intense on this end – coming home from two weeks away only to be stuck in bed for another week made the catch up a bit nutty, but after another week or two of spinning in circles, life started to feel normal once again. April this year brought so much anticipation for our Disney trip – our second road trip down the East coast (and probably our last haha!!). The middle of the month brought the vacation we have been looking forward to for two years – and a much needed break from reality in our favorite place. We stayed at the fabulous Disney Caribbean Beach Resort, ate dole whips and Mickey pretzels, enjoyed all the parks and the Skyliner, and soaked up the sun and time together. You can see more photos and read about our time here. Our vacation ended with sickness, but not until the last day of our drive, and we closed out April with lots of Netflix, chicken soup from good friends, and a slower than expected return to reality. May brought new life and energy, with flowers blooming, softball starting, and business picking up as I finally started to have clients in front of my cameras once again. It’s hard to believe it is already June first, and already almost through this fifth 365 Project, and I’m excited for the fun ahead as we go from spring to summer here in Maine.

There are 30 days in April and 31 days in May. These are our 30 and 31 days of April and May, 2022.
