The 365 Project {2021} – January | Maine Children and Lifestyle Photographer

As I approached the end of last year’s 366 Project, I made up my mind that in 2021 I would take a break. But once again, as I created my year-end slideshow and watched it through tears with my family on our couch, I knew I could not let the chance to capture another year of our life go by. So here we are, on February first, with my 25th straight month of photographing my own life under my belt. January is always a long month, with the holiday fun in the rearview, and the attempt to get back to a normal routine. Throw in a pandemic, an attempted insurrection, a historical inauguration, a week of quarantine, and the opening of a side business (check out Loops and Love Co. on Etsy!), and well, this month was a little intense. I spent most of the month thinking I’d kind of dropped the ball on the fourth year of this project, but looking back, even though the photography is not mind-blowing or my best ever, I captured some really authentic moments of our 2021 so far, as well as a few little adventures in between. The goal of these projects has always been to take my photography to the next level, so I am excited to prioritize this a bit more in February and soak in the days as they get a little longer, my sweet girl as she grows and grows, and whatever craziness February in a pandemic brings our way.

Thanks for tagging along on year #4 of this photography adventure. I can’t wait to share what I see as we go through 2021.

There are 31 days in January. These are our 31 days of January, 2021.
