The 365 Project {2019} | September – Maine Family and Lifestyle Photographer

So a little birdie told me that September came and left, but I’m not sure I believe it, because it’s not possible that it happened that quickly. I know, I know, I say this every month, but SERIOUSLY, September happened in the literal blink of an eye. What a stunning month we had here in Maine though, with warm temperatures and sunny days for most of the month. While we adjusted our lives back to school and sports routines, I was quickly reminded of how challenging it is to get a photo of the day either before or after school. I will admit I photographed my own life less this month, as an attempt to give myself a little breather after an insane summer of client sessions, but I still captured our every day, and in some ways, taking a step back let me capture more overall of daily life, and fewer crazy adventures or moments I chose to create. It was a big month in this house, with Molly celebrating her 9th birthday and starting fourth grade. This year, instead of a party, we took her and her best friend Tessie to Great Wolf Lodge in Massachusetts, which was so much fun, and which I highly recommend! Aside from the birthday celebrations, we settled into life with an almost-middle-schooler (whaaat?!), life without our pup who we lost at the end of last month, and we soaked up the beauty of Maine in September with side trips to watch the sunset or go apple picking. Already on October 1st, the weather is damp and cold, and I know the darker and chillier days are on their way. But as Molly reminds me – “only two and a half months until Christmas, mom!” – so I’ll look forward to it all with a smile..and probably some time on Amazon starting my Christmas shopping. ????

There are 30 days in September. These are our 30 days of September, 2019.
