Spring Mini Sessions {2022} | Cape Elizabeth Maine Family Photographer

It’s mini session time! Twice a year, I offer mini sessions – once in the spring and once in the fall, and last weekend were spring minis. Alllll week long I was SO excited for Saturday’s weather – forecasted to be in the high 70’s and sunny. If you’ve lived in Maine for more than a minute though, you know the forecast can change on a dime, so instead of sunny and 70’s we got the famous coast of Maine fog and 60s. I’m always so impressed with families who embrace the change as well as they do, and all of Saturday’s families had amazing spirits and energy, and did not let the fog deter them from all the love and light each and every one of them brought to their session. In fact Crescent Beach may have been the perfect place for a magical foggy night as the fog rolled along the dunes and sand, letting all the pretty greens of the dunes really pop. This year I had three amazing families for my spring minis – the “D” Family who I have been photographing for several years now, and who wanted to capture little Lily’s first birthday photos; the “H” Family who I met for the first time and could have played with all evening with their awesome, fun energy; and the “B” Family which included my friend and photographer Katie and her beautiful family who I have been dying to get in front of my cameras for several years now. It was a night of snuggles, play (even in the water – SO BRAVE, ha!), giggles, and magic, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to create images for everyone who was a part of it. Here are my favorites from this year’s sessions!
