Ryan and Whitney are the second couple this summer who live away, but have asked to have their engagement photos taken while in Maine. I love these “destination engagements” because it just further reinforces how amazing Portland is, and I get so excited to play “tour guide” for a little while during our sessions. Ryan is originally from the County, but met Whitney while away at P.A. school in New York. The two live in Syracuse now, and try to make the trip back to Ryan’s hometown at least once a year. They will be tying the knot next summer in St. Thomas, one of my most favorite places in the world, and one of the places my husband and I honeymooned. For their engagement photos we took the ferry to Peaks Island on a foggy morning, taking photos on our trip over, and then on a few of the beaches close to the docks. Ryan and Whitney are incredibly kind people, and so adorable together. I wish them all the best with their upcoming destination wedding!
