Personal Share {365 Project: April}

When I decided to do a 365 project, I was most excited about April. Maybe it’s because I knew a good chunk of the month was guaranteed to be photographed with our trip to Disney, but I also knew that this would be THE month of the year (or one of them..who knows what is to come!) that would create some really fantastic memories. What is special about this month’s collection is obviously our exciting trip, but also the story told as we weave through the seasons of a very wintery early spring, warm and sunny days in Florida, and then the typical ups and downs of spring in Maine – rainy days with sunny breaks in between, and warm days followed by damp and raw ones as spring fights hard to win the battle and earn it’s place for the next few months.

It was a challenge for me not to let the trip take over the project this month. While I had to pick just one image a day from our nine days there, I was extremely busy beforehand with final preparations at home and work, and afterwards, found myself to be tired and ready for a little break. But I pushed through, and while I may not have photographed as much as in previous months (outside of the trip), I’m grateful for those little everyday moments, as well as the big exciting ones from our vacation.
