Laura {Branding Session} | Southern Maine Headshot and Branding Photographer

When Laura reached out a few weeks ago inquiring about a branding session for herself, I responded with an enthusiastic “yes!”.  I’ve been wanting to take on more branding sessions more over the past few months, and was so excited at the opportunity to build on this part of my portfolio with Laura. I’ve known Laura for several years now, having taken family photos for her family several times. I’m a big fan of people following their creative passions (obviously haha), and Laura is one of these people. Her eye for design is so fun and thoughtful, and she is excited to take the next steps to really grow her business, Laura McDowell Creative. For her branding session, we met at her house, and focused on Laura, her work (those cards! those coasters! that phone case! love, love love!), and her family too – highlighting the fact that Laura is a totally gets the challenge and joy of growing a business as a working mom. We used her office (with an AWESOME yellow wall), staircase, and backyard, and then headed to the USM art gallery for a few more photos on campus. Laura wanted images that were happy, relaxed, and showed off her personality and her beautiful work. I’m so excited for this collection of images, and even more excited to see Laura build her business in the months to come. Here are my favorites from our time together!
