Love what you see?
A few weeks ago I shared Jessica and Andrew’s maternity session feature on the Lemonade and Lenses blog. The feature meant so much to me, as I have spent so much time appreciating the work they choose to feature as they are highly selective about light, quality, and overall feel of the images they feature. Lemonade and Lenses also publishes a photography magazine, and every month they run a contest for their cover. They choose a winner and a handful of honorable mentions. Every month I gush over the selections, not only enjoying them, but also trying to learn from them, in hopes that one day I would have an image creative and strong enough for their consideration. Their November contest was focused on family, and I poured through my images, trying to pick the one that would have the best shot at even an honorable mention. I chose the image of my good friend Danielle and her gorgeous Gracie girl, crossed my fingers, and sent it along. To my surprise, and absolute honor, it was selected as an honorable mention for the November cover. I am still in shock. Many thanks to Lemonade and Lenses for featuring my work once again, and also to Dani and Gracie who are what truly make this one of my all time favorite images.
