Fall Mini Sessions! | Yarmouth and Cape Elizabeth Maine Family Photographer

Grab your cup of coffee before you check out today’s blog post, because it’s a long one, and well worth it at that! This year’s mini sessions were by far the best ever, with perfect weather and such an awesome mix of people, stories, personalities, and environments. The thing I love the most about mini sessions is how even in the span of just one day, each session can have it’s own look and feel, with light that changes so quickly, and families with different requests and dynamics. This year’s sessions brought families, friends, baby bellies, beach time, woods time, big personalities, quiet personalities, special relationships, and best of all – 60 degrees in October and NO runny noses!! (Hey, I’ll take that win whenever I can get it, especially in the fall!)  In the past, I’ve focused mini sessions on the foliage, but this year decided to keep the sessions a bit nearer to my heart and picked locations that offered both the gorgeous October colors, as well as the serenity and happiness of the beach. I started my day with three sessions at Yarmouth’s Sandy Point Beach on a morning that had the softest and most beautiful light, and then I headed to Crescent Beach in Cape Elizabeth where I adventured all over the wooded paths and the beach with five more fabulous groups. I saw repeat clients, I met new ones, and I absolutely loved capturing every single 20 minute session I was blessed to have that day. I have SO many favorites from my big day, and keeping this post reasonable in length was no easy task. Many thanks to all eight families who joined me for this year’s banner mini session day – here are my favorites from our perfect day.
