Eska and Ralph | New Gloucester Maine Portrait and Headshot Photographer

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Eska, the grandmother of one of my seniors last year, asking me if I would be up for a challenge. She told me that since she was nine years old, she has not loved a photo of herself. I read her email, got wide eyed, rubbed my hands together, and happily said “challenge accepted!” In the days leading up to our session I got to know her a bit more through email, and was struck by her humor and storytelling. I knew I would enjoy her even more in person, and couldn’t wait to meet both her and her husband Ralph. They were just as awesome as expected, and had me giggling through our quick session at the gardens at Pineland Farms. If Eska in particular was unsettled about being in front of the camera, you would never know it, as her fun personality was present, even with the camera in front of her. She and Ralph both are just awesome, and I am so excited to share these photos of the both of them – photos that have been given the thumbs up (challenge win!) – with you all today.
