Baby Patrick {7 Days Old} | Freeport Maine Newborn Photographer

When I first met Amanda and Billy in early June for their maternity session, I instantly liked them. From their super relaxed personalities and gentle sense of humor, to their obvious love and connection to each other, they were easy to get to know, and a breeze to photograph. Since that day, I anxiously awaited the news that their little man had arrived into the world, and that news finally came in late July. Little Patrick was born 1-week to the day before his first photo session, and as expected, Amanda and Billy were the most relaxed and calm parents, even though Patrick was having a bit of a rough start to his day the morning of his session. Listening to Amanda sing to her son to soothe him brought me right back to my own days with a newborn, and watching the two of them calmly and easily navigate soothing, feeding, changing, and snuggling in between quiet and not-so-quiet moments confirmed what I knew when I first met the two of them – that they are going to be remarkable parents. I’m so excited to share these photos and help welcome little Patrick to the world. He hit the jackpot with a pretty special mom and dad, and a pretty cute furbaby sibling too (scroll down – this is one pup you don’t want to miss!).
