When I asked my friend Geneva to kindly have her baby while we were visiting home over the Thanksgiving holiday, I didn’t actually expect it to happen. But just a few days before, she found out her c-section would be scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving, and we got to meet sweet little Joey later that day, only a few hours old. Geneva’s husband Joe and my husband Jim have been best friends since they were little kids, and Joe and Geneva were married a little over a year ago. Joey is the first boy in the family, with three big sisters. I took just a few photos during our visit, but spent most of the time cuddling with him and admiring his calm demeanor, smooth baby skin, and giddy happy parents. Jim and I are so thrilled for our dear friends as their beautiful family grows. We can’t wait to get to know little Joey, and know he will be one very loved little guy.
