Love what you see?
It seems like just yesterday that I photographed Katie and Patrick’s engagement session in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Five years, and a wedding later, I was treated to an afternoon with them once again last week for their third photo session – this time to welcome sweet Charlotte to the family. Charlotte’s due date is actually in just a few days, but she made her arrival almost a month early, at a strong 3lbs, 7oz. What Katie and Patrick went through over the next few weeks was anything but easy as Charlotte spent time in two separate hospitals, too far from Katie and Patrick who had to leave her side more than any brand new parent would ever want to. They are finally home as a family of three, and are settling in to their new life and new routine. Charlotte is just over 4lbs, is completely healthy, and growing stronger every single day. For Katie and Patrick, this photo session was to capture the beauty and excitement of having sweet Charlotte home. It didn’t matter if Charlotte was fussy or calm, or that the nursery, or the quilt Katie had planned on having completed for Charlotte’s homecoming wasn’t totally ready. Together we celebrated their journey and homecoming, and it was incredibly special to photograph these moments for this awesome young family.
