2017 {The Favorites} | Maine Family and Lifestyle Photographer

I’m a little late to the party with my end of 2017 review, but there was no way I was going to let such an incredible year of photography and clients pass by without recognizing it all and highlighting the favorites. In so many ways, 2017 was a big year for me professionally. Through my 365 day personal project, I grew in ways that enhanced my work with my clients. On the client side, I went into this year wanting to make some changes to the way I photograph, and instead of focusing mostly on “traditional” portraits this year, I aimed my sessions at capturing connection through candid moments regardless of whether the session was a lifestyle session at home or a portrait session on the beach or elsewhere. While this is always something I’ve strived for in my work, this year I made it a priority, and am so excited about this collection of favorites that capture moments in time with expressions, hugs, kisses, silly faces, toes in the sand, toes in my face (I have a serious thing for baby toes…), and memories immortalized for the  families that put their trust in me to photograph them together in 2017. On top of my work with clients, I took the opportunity to capture some incredible scenery at the end of my sessions during moments where I walked the beach to reflect and feel so much gratitude for this “job” I get to call my own.

Thank you to all of you who stepped in front of my lens last year. I am so grateful to have you as part of my client family. I can’t wait to see what adventures and memories 2018 brings – enjoy this year’s collection of favorites – I hope to see you all again in front of my cameras during this coming year!
