For as long as I can remember, my best friend Danielle has been the most creative person I know. I still have notes from high school from her with fun and silly drawings, or pieces of a magazine glued together to make something really cool. A few years ago she started her blog D and G Stories, which quickly turned into a blog about her creative sewing and home decor creations. I often asked myself why on Earth she wasn’t selling her items, as her talent is incredible and her baby clothes make her readers gush.
Finally a few weeks ago, she launched her Etsy shop, The Little Pink Peony, featuring her gorgeous handmade girls’ clothes and accessories. I was so excited to see her finally profiting from her talents, and even more excited when she asked me if she could send my daughter Molly a dress in exchange for some photos from her shop. Let me tell you, this was a pretty sweet deal.
I photographed Molly in the Ahoy Gracie dress. When it arrived in the mail, I was amazed (but not surprised) at the professional level of craftsmanship and presentation of the item. (I am now regretting the decision to literally rip it out of the package and get it on my kiddo to see how cute she looked, because some pictures of the packaging would have been great! Next time!).
Here are a handful of the shots I took – and this is just one of many options available in her adorable shop. If you have girls, know someone who does, or think that maybe sometime in the next 100 years or so, there may be a little girl in your life somewhere, check out her shop. She updates it often, and I promise, you won’t be disappointed.
The Little Pink Peony is also on Facebook. Congrats Danielle on your shop launch – I am so very proud of you!!
