Finally! My first wedding of 2012 is on the books! I’m so excited about this upcoming season – with 18 weddings (so far!) ahead of me, I cannot wait to see what is in store over these next several months!
I first started chatting with Christen about her wedding well over a year ago. I looked forward to her candid and friendly emails and loved getting to know she and Charlie even better during their chilly engagement session in January. Their wedding day was warm and sunny – a treat for early spring in Maine. They tied the knot at the incredible Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, followed by a cocktail hour (with incredible music by Ben Kilcollins) and reception at Grace Restaurant. If you’ve never been to Grace, plan your next date night now. It’s quite a sight – a former church turned into a restaurant, and the food is absolutely incredible.
Shooting Christen and Charlie’s big day was also a treat for me because it was my 31st birthday. What a amazing way to spend my birthday – doing something I love with two people who I so enjoy hanging out with. Their family and friends were incredibly welcoming and this was the perfect way to kick off my 2012 wedding season.
