When Carrie and Tom asked me if I knew of any place with cool architectural details in Portland, the very first thing that popped into my mind was the McLellan House at the Portland Museum of Art. Luckily they liked the idea, so we spent our Sunday morning exploring the rooms of the house for their engagement photos, before heading down to the East End Beach to get some shots by the water.
I am embarrassed to tell you how long it took us to create these blocks…worth the battle however!
It was the perfect day to head to the beach after the museum. One of my favorite things about Portland is how differently the color of the water can be on a day-to-day basis. On Sunday it was a perfect blue, and so, so calm. We couldn’t have gotten luckier!
Carrie and Tom love the sculptures down the path from the beach. I’d never been down that way..they’re a pretty cool sight!
Carrie and Tom, I had so much fun getting to know you, and even seeing a bit of your rebel side. Can’t wait for September!
